how do I stop being addicted to video games?
Question by : how do I stop being addicted to video games?
I am really addicted to call of duty moder warfare 2 and my computer, and now it’s seriously interfering with my life. I’ve been before a live audience video games for almost being straight and i’m on YouTube for around 850 minutes in a week and it’s early to interfere with my eating and exercise (I eat about 1 meal a day and don’t exercise at all). Are there any suggestions to how I can limit how long I play games?

I’m also addicted to games, but I used my obsession to get me back into shape. Buy yourself a handheld console (PSP, DSi) and ONLY use it while jogging or walking. You get to take pleasure in your gaming and your not stuck in a computer chair for hours on end.
Excellent luck.

You have to do a bit of amateur psychology on yourself. You are in control of your life, not your computer or games console. If you look at your PC, then tell yourself “this small thing has made me its slave!? I am the master here!”, which you are.
To give back control to your life, discipline yourself to certain hours a day on the PC, and then split the day up into whatever else you have to do, whether it is college, school or work. But, what you can do is set up your sleeve a certain day for a mega games splurge, and make it a real treat. Get a drink in, food you like, etc., and then have a ball.
Proper meals, exercise and rest are vital, unless you want to end up with health worries. You don’t want to end up ill, all since you let your PC rule your life.
